2 4 6. $2000 minimum, 4% APY, 6-month CD. This promotion was dropped in 2004 when The Fed had interest rates at an all time low. We needed deposits, and this special certificate brought in $60 million dollars and grew the credit union to $420 million in total assets. We had to shut it down early.

We ran ads in the Seattle Times, Puget Sound Business Journal and sent postcards to non-members around each branch. Above is the ad from the Puget Sound Business Journal. Nothing fancy, just to the point.
